The studio aimed at deriving a spatial plan and urban design-oriented solution for the issues faced by the people of Forest Park, IL a western suburb of Chicago. Based on the background study, demographic analysis and community outreach the team devised the following approach -
“Focusing on three key areas of efficiency, inclusivity, and
sustainability the intervention - “Green Mutualism” is centered
on the connectivity of people with each other and their surroundings
for a site feasible to implement both green- and mobility-related
tactical strategies believed to bridge the gaps presented in the community.

Summer Internship- AECOM
The section here displays the projects that I was a part of during my summer'22 internship at AECOM. While I got an opportunity to work on a variety of different projects this section demonstrates my share of responsibilities in three of the projects
1. Request for Proposal - City of Chicago
2. Austin core transportation plan presentation
3. 3d Visualization- Comprehensive plan for a city in Texas
Each of these projects gave me the opportunity to demonstrate different skill sets - creative writing, 3D modeling, street section, and illustration - while also expanding my knowledge of planning strategies, collaborative efforts, and complete streets principles.
Request for Proposal
I worked on the City of Chicago's DPD proposal's final document, which included the site overview section, bubble diagram ideation, and site photographs. I highlighted the site's six major assets, which are organizational, cultural, affordable housing and existing housing stock preservation, major commercial street enhancement, architecture and historic districts, and finally prioritizing immigrant community needs, in the site overview section, and how these can be used to drive the future design proposal for the same. Housing, organizational trends, and cultural and community needs were all attempted to be included in the assets. The site photos, on the other hand, were used as reference images and section pages throughout the final proposal document..
Austin core transportation
The map and street section were created as part of a presentation to assist people in comprehending the existing street sections of downtown Austin's major streets (shown on the map). The software Google Maps, Google Streetview, and Streetmix were used to analyze current conditions and identify where the complete streets principles have been implemented and which streets need to be modified to conform to the principles. The street segments were color coded to identify similar character streets such as 4 lanes, 6 lanes, containing median, and so on ( eg :-the street section here demonstrate different segment types)

3d Visualizations
For a Dallas-based transportation project, I created current land use 3D models for a presentation of a comprehensive plan project. These models were used by the team to plan scenarios for the selected nodes. Such 3D exploration in Urban Footprints aided in the visualization of various development scenarios for the site, which aids in assessing the feasibility of planned land use changes, policy reforms, density diversification, and transportation network enhancements. Another 3D visual I created was a recreation of America's well-known "missing middle" housing stock. This diagram was created for the affordable housing section of a presentation in order to better understand the benefits of implementing these housing criteria in a future project planned for a Midwestern city.
